Day 12 – Fabulous is Amazing and Fit is Fun!!!

 

Day 12 and I am still going strong.  I have made some amazing discoveries these last two weeks.   I am feeling great!  I have enjoyed exercising!  Wow, I never thought that I would ever say that.  I am convinced that it is the type of exercise chose.  I am doing boxing and martial arts.  I also walk my dog every day.  He needs it and so do I!

The martial arts is an amazing workout with benefits far beyond just exercise.  I am learning self-defense as well.  I have a different mind set as well.  I am committed and I feel amazing!  I realize that this work out is mind and body.  I want to change how my body looks but more than anything changing my mind set is the most important first step that I can take.  The most amazing  thing happened when I realized how much I am enjoying this.

Phone of the year

I have found that mixing it up from day-to-day keeps me motivated and having fun!  I will do the Tae Bo without the bag one day.  Then boxing with the bag on the next day.  Day three is the Tae Bo Contact.  Day four I go back to boxing and start all over again!  I have also started planking daily.

I have also adjusted my diet.  I am eating fresh and delicious!  I have cut out the sodas and the chips.  I didn’t have to give up candy and chocolate because I don’t eat it very much.  The salty snacks are my weakness.  Chips and dips and chips without dips, it didn’t matter.  I have replaced these with almonds and walnuts.  I have been eating more fresh fruit and vegetables.  I have also replaced white processed sugar with honey. I am going on-line more and more looking for healthier alternatives in my recipes.  I am feeling so good and really, really smart.

My advice, is find the workout that you enjoy …. one that makes you come back over and over again.   Don’t deny yourself the foods that you love … just watch your portions.  If you can’t eat just one piece of candy, don’t buy it.  I am not dieting, I am adjusting my lifestyle to include exercise that I enjoy and foods that are delicious and good for me.  I am making changes one day at a time.  2013 is my time and I am loving the hell out of it!!
